Look what came for me in the mail! Spike studded and gem embellished loafers from ebay. Such a scoop compared to the Jeffrey Campbell ones. I got them here, unfortunately they are sold out. But hopefully they will be back in stock, or you could just do a new search if you want them aswell. They make such a statement, love it!

DIY: Studded and ripped shorts

You will need:
- A pair of jeans or shorts
- Scissors
- Sharp kitchen supplies like a knife, potato peeler, cheese grater etc.
- Pyramid studs, whatever color, size and quantity you choose

The first thing to do is to cut the jeans into shorts, if you already have it at the prefered hight you can skip this step. I cut mine just a little longer than I would like them so that in order for me to fold it in the end. Remember that the back and front of the shorts doesnt have to be the same height if you dont want your bum to show.

Next take your sharp objects and trash the jeans, for example on the pockets, edges, corners, or wherever you want to. Just scratch the surface or make a hole right through the fabric. Then throw the shorts into the washer to allow the edges of the shorts to fray. I used a really sharp potato peeler that I got from Ikea.

It is now time to take out the studs. Place them wherever your feel like, look up how others have done this for inspiration. I put mine in straight lines on the pocket corners. If you are a bit of a perfectionist like me, you may have to do some of the studs over again to get them in a straight line. Poke the studs through the fabric, and bend them on the backside, you can do this with either your fingers or use a knife. Just a heads up, if you apply the studs without a knife, it will ruin your nails.

The back of the fabric will look something like this, all depending on which studs you use. And now for the finished result!

You can play even more with the fabric and the studs if you like to. I chose a fairly basic design on mine, and did not dye it or anything. The possibilities are endless if you have a bit of creativity! I styled mine with a feminin white laced top to break with the harsh studs.

A little inspirational collage for my upcoming diy-tutorial. Inspired by the runwaydreamz brand, which are handmade, dyed, frayed and studded. Almost all of the big bloggers own a pair or more of these beauties, but the pricetag is not so beautiful. The procedure is fairly simple to do yourself, and the materials is cheap off ebay.

The most common problem bloggers face is other peoples judgement. We do lots of other stuff aswell besides blogging! I just dont publish everything that goes on in my life on my blog, or on the web for that matter. Everything doesnt have to be all black and white. When did caring about ones apperance become equal to being dumb? Yes, I do have my blonde moments, but everyone have those! Everytime I tell someone I have a blog, I feel some sort of ashamed and branded. Like clothes and makeup is all I ever care about. I can take a friendly joke now and then, but what I dont like at all, is people thinking they know me just because they have seen my blog. Newsflash: you dont!

This is my little piece of the Internet, where I can escape reality for a couple of minutes, and only surround myself with pretty things. Even though this particular site is mostly about shallow stuff like fashion and makeup, keep in mind that it is actually possible to care about something without it having to define who you are as a person. This is a passion and a hobby, not my life. It is a part of me, but not me as a whole person.

Different accessories can change a whole outfit, freshen up an old look in no time, and it doesnt demand much storage space. Instead of buying more clothes, try changing what you have with accessories. This way you can keep your wardrobe basic, but with a few key pieces. Being easy on both the environment and your wallet. Go out of your comfort zone, buying statement accessories can make or break the look.

Personally I dont care to much about jewelry like necklaces and earrings, I rely more in rings, watches, handbags and shoes. But the most important advice I can give it to keep it simple, dont go overboard with the accessories, it will just look tacky. Dont buy stuff on impulse, think through what you can match it with that you already have in your closet. Remember if you feel good, you will also look good.
