I have been looking for a dreamcatcher for a really long time, and I finally found a beautiful white one on Ebay. Hopefully it will take my nightmares away!

Time flies

There is a famous saying that goes something like time flies when you’re having fun. Well, I’ve been pretty busy, and suddenly four months had passed! So much have happened since the last I was in here, and I haven’t been eager to blog at all. I don’t know when I will be back for sure, but hang in there. If you’re impatient please follow me on twitter, instagram or weheartit, I update there more frequently.
All about hair products
Do you feel a bit lost in the jungle of different kinds of products for your hair? Maybe this post can help you! Regardless if your hair is dry, damaged, bleached, colored etc. there is something out there for all kinds. I recommend buying a good shampoo, treatment and conditioner from your hairdresser, or cheaper online. It’s really worth it when thinking about what this stuff contains compaired to the products you get at your local supermarket. If you are not sure what kind your hair is, try asking your hairdresser. They can also help you to find out wich category you fall in under aswell as picking out the best products for your hair. This particular guide was originally written by Beautyfuzz, and I found it so helpfull that I decided to translate it and post it here.
Normal hair
If you don’t have anything special you want your products to do other than washing it clean in a gentle way, then these are the products for you.

Joico Smooth Cure / Redken Clear Moisture / Joico Daily Care
Dry hair
You will need these products if your hair is dry and need some good moisturizing!

Redken All Soft / Kérastase Nutritive Bain Satin / Joico Moisture Recovery
Greasy hair
If you have oily hair try to cut down on the hair wash, maybe that is the reason it’s so greasy. You don’t need to take a shower every single day, try using a dry shampoo every now and then. If your hair is still greasy then you might want to consider any of these products.

Redken Scalp Relief Oil Detox / Matrix Biolage Scalpthera Cooling Mint / Kérastase Specifique Bain Clarifiant
Damaged hair
If your hair is bleached or you have used to much styling irons, your hair may be damaged. I know I’m guilty with the styling irons so I swear to this stuff to prevent any further damage. The best thing for split ends is to cut it, but before it gets that far try using some of these.

L`Oreal Absolut Repair / Joico K-PAK Reconstructor / Redken Extreme
Yellow tones
Blonde hair tend to get a yellow-ish tint to it. If thats the case try neutralizing it with a purple or silver shampoo. I have used the one from Redken, and even though my hair is dark blonde it took away some of the orange tint my hair got after I had dyed it.

Redken for men Silver Charge / L`Oreal Silver / Redken Blonde Glam Color Enchancer
Colored hair
For those of you with colored hair, it is important to have products that doesn’t fade away your color. It is therefore important to use a series that protects the color during each wash, but still makes your hair clean.

Revlon Nutri Color Creme / Wella SP Color Safe / Sebastian Color Ignite / Redken Color Extend
Deep cleansing
It is wise to deep cleanse your hair every now and then, how often depends on how much styling products you normally use. To get rid of left over styling products try using some of these clarifying shampoos.

Redken Cleansing Cream / Sebastian Light / KMS Clarify
Dandruff
Dandruff may be embarrassing, but is much more common than one would think. Fortunately, there are many products that really helps with dandruff, and the oh so popular “Head and Shoulders” is not one of them.

Redken Scalp Relief Dandruff / Kérastase Specifique Anti Dandruff / KMS HeadRemedy Anti Dandruff
Sunprotection
Maybe you did not know this, but your hair also needs protection from the sun. Especially in the summer when we bathe in chlorine and salt water, protecting our hair from the sun is very important!

Joico K-PAK Sun Therapy / L`Oreal Solar Sublime / Kérastase Soleil / Redken Color Extend Sun
Curly
If you want curls and keep them glossy as well as getting them more defined, you may use some of these series for this particular purpose. These products also helps if the curls are very frizzy, and they provide care and moisture to your curls aswell.

Kérastase Nutritive Oléo-Curl / Joico Smooth Cure / KMS Curl Up
Frizzy
There are many styling products that can help you if you are struggling with frizzy hair. Such as hairoils, but there is also some shampoos and conditioners to help with frizzy hair.

Joico Smooth Cure / Redken Smooth Down / Kérastase Oléo-Relax
Ebay guide
Ebay can seem pretty scary if you’ve never used the site before! But once you’ve gotten to know your way around, the procedure is fairly simple and it opens for so many opportunities.
First of all, you have got to get yourself a paypal account. Most sellers on Ebay only accept paypal as a payment, and it is also the safest way to do this. Follow this link. Now, once you’ve got that sorted out you will need an account on Ebay. Follow this link and register your personal information. Although the site looks a bit messy, it is completely if you follow my instructions.
Who you buy stuff from is an important factor. As a rule, I only buy from top-rated sellers. Start by searching for the product you would like to purchase. You can specify things such as categories, condition, seller(top-rated or not), buying format(preferably ‘buy it now’ for the unexperienced), location, etc. Make sure to check the box that says location worldwide, if you need shipping outside the US.
Then click the product you would like to have a closer look on. You know the seller is top-rated, but check the feedback aswell. You will want this number to be as close to 100% as possible. Be sure to check the amount of sales aswell, to match the % of positive feedback. If you click the sellers name you can also look through the feedback they have gotten, this step is really helpful if you are in doubt about the product or the seller. You may also want to see how much the shipping is, many sellers ship for free, but in some cases the shipping can be overpriced. It can even be more than the product itself, and once you have commited to buying the item it is to late to regret it.
If the shipping is on US, click to see all details and choose your country and then get rates. The price may differ when you have chosen this option. If you can’t find your country on the list, then this seller won’t ship the item to you. If you have listed your information when you registered, a message will appear if your country is not available for shipping.
When you want to buy something, there are two options. The easiest way is to buy it now, and just ignore those who have an auction. If you click to buy the product now, you will have to go through more steps in order to complete the purchase. Next thing is ‘commit to buy’, here you will get the short summary of the price + shipping and the delivery estimate.
You have now bought the item, then choose to pay for it right away.
Review your order and check if the shipping address is correct. Here you can also add a message to the seller if you would like them to mark the package as a gift or set the price down. This is to avoid unnecessary customs and sales taxes, it really depends on the country you want the item shipped to on rates. Private sellers mostly do this automatically.

Now log on to your paypal account and confirm the payment.

Once you have clicked the button you will be redirected back to Ebay to confirm the order and pay for your product. And that is basically it!
Another important thing you do as a customer, is to leave feedback. The seller will also give you feedback as a buyer, some sellers won’t sell items to people with bad feedback. Remember not to give any feedback until you have received your package and looked everything over. If there is anything wrong or you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the seller. Don’t give the seller bad feedback until you have talked it over with them first.
Try thinking of this as a kind of treasure hunt! The site holds so much different stuff, that you have no chance grasping all of it. This is why you have to know what you’re doing. Search and look around on the site, bnd most important; have fun while doing it!
The sunnies are on their way to my mailbox as we speak! Do you like the sunglasses so much that you just have to have them aswell? You may buy them here. If you have any questions feel free to ask me in the comments below, and I will try my best to answer you. Next time I will give you guys my Ebay favorites, so stay tuned!
Magical creatures

The Wildfox girls teamed up with writer Francesca Lia Block to create a story based around these three characters. The lookbook for this collection is truly amazing, but the illustrations is my favorite part! If you want to see more, click here.
My week

I have spent my easter holiday in Turkey, consisting of fashion, starbucks coffee and lots of sun! It was a huge downer coming home to the cold. Fingers crossed that I took with me some of the heat. I didnt have much internet the last couple of days, being the computer nerd I am it has provided quite the challenge. But it left me with more time to get a tan, and since I was so pale to begin with it didnt take long for me to get a slightly warmer complexion. Since thighs are the devil down there and, one have to cover up even though it is insainly hot outside. In spite of that I’m still looking forward to going back this summer. All the photos are taken with the instagram app, if you havent checked it out yet go ahead right now!
Happy New Year

My biggest new years resolution is to reuse my wardrobe more instead of always buying new stuff. I have so many things that Ive only used once, even unused stuff with the tags still intact. I know I dont need new things, but that doesnt stop me from wanting it. A good start is to look through both my closets, give away what I dont want or use anymore, and refresh my memory of what I actually have. Another thing Im going to do is buy more second hand. Ive done this a lot for the last couple of months, even finding pieces I thought was lost because of limited collections. Aswell as using eBay more now that Ive discovered it, and make more clothes myself and do more diy-projects bringing out my creativity. Doing this is also environmentally friendly, which is my second resolution. I think I will write a longer blogpost about this subject as there is so many small things we can do for the greater good.
Im taking this oportunity to wish everyone who is reading this a happy new year!
Dreams

ph_kremmerhuset
If I where to describe myself with only one word it would be ‘dreamer’. Professional daydreamer without a doubt. When I fist saw this sign I knew I had to have it for my new appartment. In like a week I’m packing all my stuff and moving, so excited as I’ve been waiting for this one whole year! This sign will be a focus feature. It is from one of my favorite interior stores named Kremmerhuset. Get it here, only available in Norway though.
Vintage shopping
Treasure hunting for vintage pieces can be a struggle. You have to have a good eye for it and see the true potential in things. And if you have a sewing machine you can easily alter them. Checking the origin and fabric is key to establish the quality of the piece. You want to look for timeless fashion which you can use for a long time. If you are really lucky you might find designer labels for a small price.
Everyone uses the word vintage without really knowing what it means. What are the criteria for being a true vintage piece? Generelly the word is used to define something that is old-fashioned or something from another time, but today vintage has become a fashion statement. In order to legally define a vintage piece it has to be more than 30 years old, and have its origin from about the 1900-1980′s. Vintage pieces is normally unique and might come with a bit of history. I have looked through my grandmothers closet and found pieces that she wore in the 60′s and that can now be reused. And its environmental friendly aswell!
This part is especially for those of you who live in Bergen, as all the stores are located there. I did this tour last year, but hopefully all these stores are still up and running.
Fretex in Lars Hilles gate 14: Everything here is nicely sorted and I got to look through almost everything. Nothing came home with me though.
Klesskapet in Skostredet 12: I have visited this store noumerous times but its always closed. Just looking in the window makes me wish that they would some time be open.
Lei Kolleksjon in Kong Oscarsgate 13: Here you may find treasures that is even accompanied by a story of its origin. These pieces are usually a little bit more expensive than the others. This store is really cosy, but so far nothing have been bought.
Fretex in Strandgaten 90: You have to walk all the way out to Nordnes, but its really worth it. Thos store even has its own retro department. I found this cute vintage piece that is now hanging in my closet.

Kostym in Skottegaten 21: In this small store they have some treasures if you look closely. I found a handbag with pearls, and a skirt that I wanted, but they didnt come with me this time.
Another store that Ive wanted to check out for ages is Ane Blich House in Nesttunvegen 98. This store is supposed to hold more designer labels, for example vintage dresses from Vivienne Westwood. I’ve also heard that they always have a vintage Chanel in stock.

This is where I mostly do all of my blogging from, the bed in my tiny studio apartment. I absolutely love the pictures I have hanging above it! I bought them at a vintage market in Paris, they are old collectors photographs. The crochet pillowcases are from H&M Home, and the pink ones from Princess. Just before christmas I’m moving to a slightly bigger and newer apartment, I can hardly wait to decorate it.
